What drought?16 viewsWhile some people are moaning about having no water, we have too much! On the evening of the 13th of May 2009, we realised the river was climbing fast. The Horton's were out in force moving stock to higher ground. This photo was taken 12 hours later with the river at it's peak - 6 metres! Normally the Makarewa River only flows at 800mm.May 14, 2009
